The Maverick G1 series guitars where designed as an alternative to the 'in your face full on floyd rose equipped' guitars we expect from Maverick. The G1 is more of a tone balanced guitar; it does the most amazing blues rock tones as well as the full on metal tones. The shape of the guitar is not dissimilar from that of a Les Paul; the G1 guitars are much lighter than a more conventional Les Paul style guitar, but don't be fooled the G1 has all the tone and bite of a guitar twice its weight. Tone is delivered via two Humbucker pick-ups to guarantee great quality tone with minimal feedback, the G1 series Maverick's all come with the unique Tone and volume roller controls.
